We talk through your project in depth. No sales pitch — just a genuine conversation about what you need and whether we're the right fit.

Common Questions
Do you work with debut authors?+

Absolutely. Some of our most rewarding projects have been with debut authors. We offer a full manuscript-to-market service for writers publishing for the first time, with clear guidance at every stage.

What's your minimum project size?+

We work on projects from a single editorial consultation to multi-year retained partnerships. We don't have a minimum spend — we have a minimum level of fit. If we're not the right studio for your needs, we'll tell you honestly and point you toward someone who is.

Do you work with clients outside San Francisco?+

Yes — roughly 60% of our clients are based outside the Bay Area, including clients in New York, London, Toronto, and Sydney. All of our services can be delivered remotely, and we conduct discovery calls and check-ins via video.

Can you handle publishing and marketing together?+

Yes, and we'd argue it's the most effective approach. When the editorial and marketing teams work together from the outset — shaping the manuscript with the audience in mind — the results are significantly stronger than when these are treated as separate phases.

How many clients do you work with at a time?+

We intentionally cap our active roster at around 50 projects. When we're at capacity, we maintain a short waitlist. We believe in giving every client the attention they deserve, and that means saying no sometimes.
